Stitching Gift Tags
7th November 2015
I like getting those little kits in the cross stitch magazines.
They say that you can now get digital download versions of cross stitch magazines on the iPad and the like now, but where’s the fun in that? I won’t get a kit! I always want the kit.
I have a whole pile of kits that I haven’t done.
I buy them thinking: “Oh, that will be useful for such-and-such.”, but I rarely get round to making them, and when I do I get frustrated that the thread is cut short and I have to change it every two minutes.
It’s a love-hate relationship.
Last month however, I got this very cute set of Christmas gift tags in the Christmas 2015 issue of Cross Stitch Crazy, and I actually did it. I know, shock horror.
Well, I say I did it. It’s nearly finished. So close, you can basically call it finished.
The kits came with everything you needed to make eight cute little Christmas gift tags in fun bright colours.
It was really good fun to see the patterns stitch up so quickly. It stopped me getting bored. All the stitching is done now, I’ve just put it on hold because I don’t have any double-sided sticky tape to stick the designs to the tags. That’s a good excuse right?
